Information about Office

Duties

The Statistical Office in Lublin belongs to public statistics services subordinated to the Central Statistical Office and acting on the base of:

&  Law of of 29 June 1995 on Official Statistics (Journal of Laws No. 88, item. 439 with later amendments),

&  instruction No. 9 of the President of the CSO dated 18st June 2012 on detailed scale of duties and organization of SO in Lublin (Official Gazette of CSO No. 27 - 26.06.2012),

&  Organization Statute of Office introduced by the Instruction No. 6 of the Director of the SO in Lublin of 25 July 2012.

According to the above listed documents the main duties of the SO in Lublin include:

  • collection, gathering, storage and processing of statistical data for statistical surveys conducted by the President of Central Statistical Office, including population and housing censuses,
  • co-operation with bodies of public administration operating in the voivodship within the scope of creation and utilization of administrative data for statistical purposes,
  • making available and dissemination of final statistical information obtained in statistical surveys of official statistics, including basic figures and indicators,
  • administering country official registers concering Lubelskie Voivodship:

    REGON - units of the national economy,

    TERYT - territorial division,

  • fulfilment of specialised nationwide assignments for public statistics as a whole:  
    • preparing methodological rules, organizing statistical surveys and analytical studies in the field of dwelling and municipal management statistics, as well as construction statistics,
    • creation, conduction and development of Statistics Databases in the field of dwelling and municipal management statistics, as well as construction statistics,
    • co-operation with institutions, academies and scientific environment in preparation of statistical surveys and elaborations in the field of dwelling and municipal management; construction,
    • co-operation with possessors of administrative data and representatives of scientific environment in preparing methodological rules of realized statistical surveys,
    • participating in international cooperation in the statistics of euroregions, particularly organizing joint statistical surveys and  issuing publications about  the  Bug Euroregion.
